All Retail Advertising contract provisions are contained in the individual advertising contracts. Copies are available from your San Antonio Express-News advertising representative.
Creative Services' EDI team accepts electronically delivered advertising for the Newspaper. This department will preflight all ads for the following....embedded fonts, embedded color formats, ad size. If errors or problems are discovered and time allows, the originator of the file will be notified of the problem. A corrected file can be sent to replace the original file. If time does not allow, the file will be changed to allow output of the ad.
This department is not responsible for errors created by the originator, however every effort will be made to identify errors and correct them or notify the Advertising Account Manager if a file needs to be corrected by the client and resubmitted.
The Express-News will not reimburse or credit a client for published mistakes that were delivered electronically if the Express-News made reasonable efforts to pre-flight, correct or notify the originator of the problems with the ad files.

- The Express-News provids a web-based delivery system for electronic camera-ready ads. This system requires a unique login ID and password which is established for you . If you have not signed up, please contact us at edi@expressnews. net.
- AdSend: For our medium to large volume advertisers we recommend transmitting their ads to the newspaper through a 3rd party vendor such as AdSend. For more information call 1-800-2 ADSEND or visit their web site at www.adsend.com.
- AdTransit: For our smaller volume advertisers we recommend AdTransit to send your ads to the newspaper. For more information call 1-800-254-6533 or visit their web site at www.adtransit.com.
- Fast Channel: A third pary digital file deliverty service with a direct link to the Express-News. Cost determined by usage. For account set-up log in to www.adtransit.com.
- WAM!NET: A third-prty digital file delivery service with a direct link to the Express-News. Cost determined by usage. For acount set-up log in to www.wamnet.com.
The EDI Department can retrieve ad files from a 3rd party FTP site. An E-mail notification when the file is ready including the FTP address, accurate names of the files (ad codes), log-on name and password prior to deadline.

The accuracy of the knockout and overprinted elements are the responsibility of the client, agency or production company producing the final ad.
All color elements must be delivered to the newspaper in CMYK process colors. RGB and Pantone colors are unacceptable. Single AdPro spot colors must be produced using a mixture of process colors. Contact your sales rep. for available spot colors and the process color mix to be used.
Advertising should be built to the exact specifications of the ad order.

Every effort will be made to ensure the content of electronically ads are accurately published. The Express-News cannot be held responsible for errors in handling that result from advertising being electronically submitted past deadline.

This department offers assistance to advertisers, including development, layout of ideas and artwork. Fees are charged for original customized art, including illustrations, ad shells, headings and logos. Other creative services are available on a per job basis. Contact your sales representative for estimates.
A proof will be delivered for set ads upon request. Proofs are not delivered for camera-ready and electronically delivered ads.
Tearsheets will be provided upon request. Tearsheets are delivered via U.S. Postal Service or electronically unless otherwise requested.
